The Creative Force of Energy
Victoria Cano from Alcala will exhibit at the Spanish Academy in Rome
The light and colour are the true accomplices of the creator Victoria Cano, from Alcalá la Real and a resident of Valencia. With a long career in the Fine Arts focussed on the energies of nature, he now works on an exhibition that will be inaugurated at the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome in October.
The ability to feel the energy of people and the things that surround the human being is a privilege that very few have, but if to that is added the sensitivity of being able to transmit it with the complicity of art, the result creates the stature of Victoria Cano of Alcala.
Since 1978 she definitively settled in Valencian lands to devote herself to teaching and creation, this path has given her, among others, many recognitions: in the 2008 Beijing Olympic medal at the Olympic Fine Arts, she was the artist who represented Spain with an exhibition for the last Olympics.
Focused on the wonders that nature offers and the insignificant role that man has in the face of the great immensity of the forces that conjugate the world, Cano prepares a montage that she will put at the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome. “It is still in the gestation phase but the idea is to capture with games of colours and lights the repetitions of nature and make a parallel with the exclusivity of man’s footprint throughout history,” explains Victoria Cano. A new adventure that matures from the intimacy of her study and from the sea of people she treats daily at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
Presented: Medal In Beijing
The International Olympic Committee of the Olympics in Beijing selected Victoria Cano as the only Spanish representative for the exhibition “Olympic Fine Arts” Beijing 2008. On the occasion of her participation in this international event, she received a diploma and an Olympic medal. There are not a few recognitions received over the last few years, in fact, the last one will receive it in February, at the International Ce-visa Fair. Thus, Cano will be awarded for his artistic research career at the Faculty of Fine Arts in the field of design and in the promotion of creativity.
